Our Story – Aisla’s Crafty Creations

Our Story

Where it all began…

A journey of passion, creativity, and endless love

Our Journey

Aisla’s Crafty Creations was born back in 2018 while I was at university studying Business Management. As a full-time student, wife, and mum, I’ve always been one for keeping busy. Designing and creating has always been my passion, and it soon dawned on me that I could actually make a business out of doing something I love. Without access to a large cash flow, I started with just a few pounds making memorial baubles one Christmas. I made £300 over a 4-month period, invested it, and bought my first Silhouette Cameo cutting machine.

I began selling water bottles, notebooks, keyrings, and baubles, which worked well with my young kids and local community. However, I quickly realised I couldn’t compete with hobbyists on social media if I wanted to make a proper living. After months of research, I discovered a huge gap in the market for quality bridal gifts. I knew I could offer affordable, quality goods where people could buy with confidence, knowing they’re in safe hands. This is when I fell in love with the wedding industry and everything love-related. Love is something that should be celebrated—it’s a beautiful thing that brings us together and creates lasting memories. This was the big game changer, and life was never going to be the same again!

The Story Behind the Name

My name is not Aisla (shock!), Aisla is my beautiful 7-year-old niece—the first girl in the family for over 20 years! My name is Sarah, I’m 36 years old, born and bred in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. I’m married to my best friend Simon for the last 9 years, and we have 2 amazing boys, Evan (17) and Kyran (13). I didn’t use their names because, well, they would cringe with embarrassment!

I never imagined that 5 years later I’d be sitting here with a booming business that I genuinely love! I feel so lucky and honoured to get this far, and the future excites me. I have so many ideas that I want to put my magic touch on and continue to make people smile.
